David Gene Roark, 67 of Kansas City, MO, passed away, Saturday, April 12, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his family. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the F.O.E. #3717 11424 E. 24 Highway, Sugar Creek, MO 64054. David was born July 6, 1946 in Spokane, WA to Kyle D. and Alice (Haven) Roark. He had worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, tinkering, and most of all spending time with his family. He was a member and trustee for the F.O.E. #3717 in Sugar Creek and the Teamsters Local #41. He is survived and greatly missed by his wife of 40 years, Marsha Roark of the home; 2 daughters, Rene Sullivan of LaRussell, MO and Jodi Roark of Independence, MO; a son, David Cleo Roark and wife Johnna of Mt. Vernon, MO; a brother, John Roark and wife Joan of Atherton, MO and 8 grandchildren, Branddon, Chance, Kyle, Colton, Dakota, Connor, Kyra and Kailee. He was preceded in death by a son, Ross Roark in 1995, a son-in-law, Brian Sullivan in 2014, a brother, Kevin Roark and a sister, Bonnie Lee Roark.
