Robert S. Campbell, 73 years 9 months old, passed away on April 21, 2025 very peacefully at Centerpoint Hospital with his family by his side.
Born on July 30, 1951 in Kansas City, MO to the late Milton R. "Tate" Campbell Sr. and the late Ella Maurine (Ridenour) Campbell. On December 14, 1968, he was united in marriage to Kathryn "Kathy" Anne Holmes. They were blessed with one son, Robert M. Campbell (Tammy) and one daughter, Robin Ann Burres. Kathy passed away on May 11, 2002 in Sugar Creek, MO.
Robert, also known as Bobby as his friends called him, spent much of his time working at Armco/GST Steel in the ball and rod department for 32 years.
On June 20, 2003, he married Dee Ann Campbell. She survives at the home. When he relocated from Sugar Creek, MO to De Witt, MO, he worked at Corbin Steel until he retired.
Survivors include his wife Dee Campbell of the home; a son, Robert M. Campbell (Tammy); a daughter, Robin Ann Burress; three grandchildren, David Burres, Haleigh Campbell, and Hayden (Mercedes) Campbell; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton R. "Tate" Campbell Sr. and Ella Maurine (Ridenour) Campbell; the mother of his children, Kathryn "Kathy" Ann (Holmes) Campbell; granddaughter, Katy Burress; and son-in-law, Craig Burres.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 28, 2025 at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens located at 18301 E Salisbury Rd, Independence, MO 64056. The family invites family and friends to join them for refreshment after (details to come soon).
Robert was a one of a kind guy. He loved his family and his Nova. Bobby will be missed by all who knew him.
