Robert E. Elliott passed away on July 23, 2026 in Independence, Mo. He was 83 years old. Robert was born on June 28, 1943 in Independence, Mo. to Robert and Claudine (Bentley) Elliott.
After graduating from Fort Osage High School, Robert enlisted into the United States Army. He served his country proudly for several years, earning the rank of a Sergeant. Following that he met and married the love of his life, Dorothy, on July 10, 1978 in Miami, Oklahoma. Robert was a hard working man and dedicated 31 years to the Armco Steel Mill before retirement. During his down time, he enjoyed fishing, working on small engines and spending time with his fellow veterans at the American Legion Post #499. He will be greatly missed.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2nd from 9-10am at the Carson-Speaks Funeral Home in Independence, Mo. Funeral service will begin at 10am with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Kansas City, Mo.
