Dora Robertson

Dora Lee Robertson, 82, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away Monday, August 31, 2009 at Jefferson Health Care Center. A visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 PM Thursday, Sept. 3 at Grace Point Baptist Church, 10415 Chestnut Dr., Kansas City, MO with services to begin at 1:30 PM; burial at Mount Moriah Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to Good Shepherd Hospice, 7611 State Line Rd., Kansas City, MO 64114.
Dora was born June 20, 1927 in Kansas City, KS to Edward and Anna (Higgins) LaRue. She graduated from high school and attended Southwest University in Bolivar for one year before marrying Luther Ray Robertson. Together they raised five children. Dora was a faithful member of Grace Point Baptist Church. She will be missed for her sparkly and rowdy nature by all who knew and loved her.
Dora was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Bonnie Linn, daughter-in-law Diane Robertson, and sisters Anna Mae Riddle and Norma Jean Yates. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Edward Robertson and wife Beverly, Leta Grika, Alfred Robertson, and John Robertson and wife Kathy; siblings: Mary Miner and Dr. Betty Herndon; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and many friends.
