Margaret Elizabeth Robertson, 90 of Warsaw, MO went to be with her Lord on Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, MO. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Avenue, Independence, MO 64052. Burial will follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Tuesday at the chapel. Donations may be made to the Alpha-1 Foundation 3300 Ponce De Leon, Coral Gables, FL 33134. Margaret was born August 8, 1925 in Deep Water, MO to William H. and Mary Cornelia (Stephens) Gardner. She went to work at the age of 17 in an Independence, MO butcher shop taking over for her brother so he could join the war effort during WWII. She then worked at a sewing factory and later, with her husband, opened Robertson’s Upholstery and operated it for over 40 years. She enjoyed sewing, hunting, fishing, making dolls and other animals, crafts and gardening. She was a member of the RLDS church and later a member of the Baptist church most recently attending Cedar Grove Baptist Church. She was board member of her local homeowners association, president of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and chair person for the Chamber of Commerce both in Rigby, ID. She is survived by; 4 children, Lowell Robertson and wife Rebecca of Blue Springs, MO, Daniel Robertson and wife Kim of Chubbuck, ID, Warren Robertson and wife Rebecca of Zumbrota, MN and Tina Lomax and husband Gerald of Warsaw, MO; 4 siblings, Frances Piper of Myrtle Beach, OR, Bill Gardner and wife Vi of Independence, MO, John Gardner and wife Sally of Princeton, MN and Patrick Gardner of Independence, MO; a sister in law, Marjorie Gardner of Morgan, MO; 18 grandchildren, Troy, Adam, Nick, Stefan, Carrie, Tara, Josh, Todd, Jenny, Mindy, Grace, Mary, Brent, Justin, Danielle, Samantha, Lantz and Lorne, 25 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends . She was preceded in death by; her husband, Boyd Howard Robertson in 1988, 3 sons, Franklin, Matthew and an infant son, and a brother James Gardner.
