Neatha Fern Robinson, 98 of Richmond, MO passed away, Friday, January 28, 2011. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 31, 2011 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens in Lexington, MO. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Monday at the chapel. Donations may be made to the Keith Worthington Chapter of the ALS Society or to Richmond Hospice. Neatha was born July 7, 1912 in Geraldine, MT to Luther M. and Emma F. (Mauzey) Payne. She grew up in Lexington and graduated from public schools there. She was a devoted wife mother and homemaker who also worked at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. She is survived by; a son, Leamon Johnson and his wife Terry of Richmond, MO; grandsons, Mark Johnson, Richmond, MO, Duke and Sue Johnson of Naperville, IL and Scott and Julia Johnson of Richmond, MO; great grandchildren, Lindsey Turner Charlotte, NC, Taylor Johnson Decatur, GA, Jordan, Shanna and Brandon Johnson of Naperville, IL, Parker, Davis and Madeline Johnson of Richmond, MO; a sister, Gayle Suydam of Independence, MO and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Leamon L. Johnson, her second husband Orville Robinson, her parents, a brother, Carl Payne and a sister, Louise Howell. She was a kind, generous, loving woman who always gave of herself to help others. She taught many life lessons to her family and friends in her 98 years, most importantly humility, charity and the unwavering love and devotion to her Lord. We all consider it a privilege and honor to have known and loved her. She will be sorely missed by all, but we rejoice in knowing that she is with her savior now in paradise.
