Lorene E. Rockers, 92, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Friday, April 27th, 2018. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00am, Thursday, May 3rd with a service following at 10:00am, both at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St. Independence, MO 64055. Interment will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery in Kansas City.
Lorene was born January, 14 1926, in Jefferson City, MO to John and Sophia (VanLoo) Veltrop. In 1946, she married her husband, John Joseph Rockers. Lorene also worked for over 20 years for J.C. Penny.
Lorene is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John; her son, Tom and 6 siblings, including her twin sister. She is survived by her son, Ron and his wife Cecelia; her daughter-in-law, Debbie Rockers; 4 grandchildren as well as, 6 great-grand children.
