Howard M. Roe, Jr., 78, Buckner, MO passed away Friday, March 11, 2011.
A celebration of H.M.’s life will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Speaks Buckner Chapel; 300 Adams St. Buckner, MO. Burial to follow at Buckner Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the National Kidney Foundation.
Howard was born February 7, 1933 in Ochelata, OK the son of Howard, Sr., and Dorothy (Osborne) Roe. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, during the Korean War and a member of the American Legion and the VFW. H.M. owned and operated H&M Heating and Cooling for over 20 years before retiring in 2000. H.M. enjoyed fishing woodworking and playing the guitar and mandolin.
He was preceded in death by his wife JoAnn in 2006; brother, Jack Roe and his parents.
Survivors include his daughter, Lyla Thompson and her husband Jay; sons, Gary Roe; Robert Roe and his wife Terri, and Marty Roe and his wife Tooti; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Kelly and Judy Davis; brothers, Bob, Dale and Rick Roe; and numerous nieces, nephews and family.
