Roger Timothy Brown, born on October 31, 1961, in Independence, MO, left this world on March 16, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri, surrounded by love. A devoted son and brother, Roger is survived by his parents, Larry and Nancy Brown, his sister Brenda Brown, and his sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and Robert Pennell. He also cherished his extended family and many dear friends who will hold his memory close to their hearts.
A man of many traits, he was self-employed. Roger graduated from Truman High School in 1980 and continued his education at University of Central Missouri, formally known as Central Missouri State University, he embraced the joys of life with a passion that was unmistakable. In his younger years, he was an avid athlete, playing both football and basketball, demonstrating his competitive spirit and love for sports. Roger found happiness not only in sports but also in the company of friends, spending time together watching games or attending concerts, relishing the joy of camaraderie.
Known for his humorous and loving personality, Roger had an infectious laughter that could brighten anyone's day. To know him was to appreciate the special bond he shared with his beloved cat, Buddie, who brought him immeasurable comfort and companionship.
As we reflect on the life of Roger Timothy Brown, we celebrate the joyous moments he brought to those around him. His legacy of love, laughter, and friendship will endure in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A Visitation will take place for Roger at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055, on Friday, April 11, 2025, between the hours of 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
