George E. Rogers

George E. Rogers, 75, of Independence, MO, passed away, Monday, December 6, 2004 at his residence. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at Floral Hills Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Donations may be made to St. Luke�s Hospice. George was born February 22, 1929 in Kansas City, MO to Edgar D. and Bertha E. (Rolen) Rogers. He was a lifelong resident of the Kansas City area. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served from 1951-56. He worked in the sanitation department at Lipton Tea Company for over 15 years before he retired. He was married to Kathryn (Strickland) who preceded him in death. Survivors include; a sister, Goldie Lewis of Independence, MO.
