Mary Rogers

Mary LeDonne Rogers, 78, of Independence, MO peacefully passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2010 surrounded by her family. A Memorial Service will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday, October 31, 2010 at the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ, 2820 S. 291 Highway, Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 2:30-3:30 at the church. Private inurnment with family on Monday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ, 700 W. Lexington, Independence, MO 64050. LeDonne was born May 30, 1932 in Sylvarena, MS to Travis and Ella (DeLany) Yelverton. She was an active and faithful member of the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. LeDonne was blessed to be a homemaker for her family that she loved so dearly. Mrs. Rogers is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, James L. Rogers; children Mike Rogers and wife Brenda, Richard Rogers and wife Michele, Cathi Watts; six grandchildren Rico Rogers, Micah Rogers, Rachel Harrington, Joseph Rogers, Philip Rogers, Derek Lysinger; three great-grandchildren Riley Rogers, Ethan Rogers and Hudson Harrington; two sisters Patricia Smith and Jeanne Rogers and husband John.
