Leslie Rooks

Leslie Vance Rooks, 65, of Sibley, MO departed this world Monday, September 27, 2010 at Mid-America Rehabilitation Hospital. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Heart of God Fellowship, Sibley, MO, with visitation 9-11:00 a.m. Burial in Buckner Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. Leslie was born January 27, 1945 in Kansas City, MO to Richard and Irene (Bulmer) Rooks. He owned and operated Happy Days Auto Repair in Sibley, MO for over 30 years until his retirement in 2008. He continued to operate his tow truck as a hobby. Mr. Rooks was an avid motorcycle rider. Leslie is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Beverly (Garrett) Rooks; sons Vance Rooks, Trent Rooks and wife Robin; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; mother Irene Rooks; sister Susan Buckner and husband Tommy; brother Gary Rooks and wife Sherita. He was preceded in death by his father Richard Rooks.
