Daniel R. Rosenberg, 65, Independence, MO passed away April 1, 2011. Memorial service will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 17200 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO 64055; cremation. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 10 am. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Dan was born Sept. 15, 1945 in New York, NY. His family eventually moved to the Kansas City area and graduated from Northeast High School before earning a Bachelors degree from Northwest Missouri State University. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Dan worked at Montgomery Wards for thirty years until they closed in 2001. He was a member of the church and helped with the tape ministry program there. He was a big sports fan who loved baseball and football.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Dorothy (Harting) Rosenberg. He is survived by his wife Kris Rosenberg, of the home; sons Jack Rosenberg and wife Angie; Jeff Rosenberg and wife Laura; brother Phil Rosenberg and wife Martha, all of Independence, MO; grandchildren Tanner, Trevor, Sam, and Bella Grace; sister-in-law Sandy Ruppert and husband Wayne, Kansas City, MO; brother-in-law Mark Jahne, Overland Park, KS; three nieces and a nephew.
