Roy E. Parke

Roy E. Parke passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at his home. He was 80. Roy was born to Roy and Wilma Parke on April 21, 1943 in Lafayette, Indiana.

Roy graduated from North Salem High School then enlisted into the United States Navy. He proudly served his country for 4 years. Afterwards he met his soulmate, Jane and they spent the next 56 years creating memories together. To that union came 2 children, Roy and Polly. Roy was a hard worker and always made sure his family was taken care of. He worked in management at Howard Johnson Restaurants for 10 years then pursued a career with Ford Motor Company. After dedicating over 25 years to the company he was able to retire. Although retired he still filled his days working part time at Colonial Nursery for over 25 years. Roy enjoyed people. When he wasn’t working he liked to watch television shows about history or CSI investigations. He will be greatly missed.

Roy is survived by his beloved wife, Jane; daughter, Polly Martin; sister, Verdia Parke; grandchildren, Curtis Martin, Amanda Martin, Jennifer Mills, Carolyne Baker and Christina Parke and 8 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Wilma Parke; son, Roy Brian Parke and furry companion, Precious.
