Rozan Mae Murray, 67, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and Friend, passed away on November 22, 2025. Rozan was born on May 3, 1958 in Humboldt, Tennessee to Jasper Russell Murray Jr. and Rose Marie (Owens) Murray.
She graduated from Fredericktown High School in the class of 1976, and went on to college at Southwest Baptist College, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Music, in 1979. She was also part of the bowling team, where she met her future husband, John White.
She married John White on February 23, 1980, and to this union was born 1 daughter, Alana.
Rozan worked for various companies as a Claims Assistant. Of all her job titles however, “Grandma” was definitely the one she was best at. She was an amazing grandmother. She cherished her grandchildren. She had the opportunity to visit Texas where they lived. She loved to visit them at their schools and attend their events. She was happiest when she was with them, and enjoying their sweet snuggles and hugs. There is an unfillable hole that is left in her absence. One that came entirely too soon. The love she gave to her grandchildren can never be replaced.
She was a woman with the kindest heart, who was very giving, loved endlessly and cared very deeply. She also had a great sense of sarcasm and humor, and her unmistakable laugh could easily brighten your mood. She loved to help others and was always there to care for anyone that needed it. She also loved animals, especially her cats.
Rozan is survived by her daughter Alana (and her husband Kevin); her 3 beloved grandchildren Kara, Ryan and Kaylee, and her older brother Jimmy (and his wife Donna).
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and her old brother Terry.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6th, from 9am – 11am at Speaks Suburban Chapel located in Independence, MO.
