Donald Edward Rudy, 69, Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2010.
A Celebration of Don’s Life will be at 10:00 AM Monday, December 6, 2010 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Independence, MO. Burial to follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Don was born September 29, 1941 in Kansas City, MO the son of Lawrence J. and Chlora M. (Crabb) Rudy. He retired in 2005 as a meat cutter having worked at Milgram’s, IGA and Apple Market. He was an avid KC Chief fan and enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his family.
Don was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Manus, brother Lawrence Rudy, Jr., and half brother, Ralph Hughey.
Survivors include his wife, loving wife of 47 years Dorothy Rudy; daughters, Donna Herman and her husband Marvin, Kim Wilson and her fiancé, Vince Haley, Pam Wade and her husband Bill; grandchildren, Chris Watkins and his wife April, Melissa Watkins, Shanne Hackett, Kristy Wilson, Kayla Wade and Kelsie Wade; great granddaughter, Emma Watkins and numerous nieces, nephews, and family.
