Albert G. Ruester

Albert G. Ruester, 82, Independence, MO passed away May 28, 2007. Services will be 2 pm, Friday, June 1, 2007 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; interment at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the New Salem Baptist Church, Rt. 1, Box 73, Marshall, MO 65340.
Albert was born Sept. 8, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA. He was an Army Air Corp veteran of WW II, serving as a tail gunner in a B-29 in the Pacific Theater. He was a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis. Albert worked for the I.R.S. Appellate Division for 30 years, retiring in 1979. He enjoyed traveling with his brother, Frank, and was a big boxing fan.
Albert was preceded in death by his wife, Dovie Ruester; son Bob Ruester; and brothers Glennon and Frank Ruester. He is survived by son Bill Ruester and wife Cindy, Pleasant Hill, MO; daughter-in-law Peggy Ruester, Blue Springs, MO; brother Bob Ruester, Affton, MO; and grandchildren Frank Ruester, Leslie Ruester, Bryan Necessary, Michelle Scott, and Brittani Moore.
