Thomas M. Rundell, 83 of Sugar Creek, MO, passed away, Thursday morning, May 14, 2009 at his residence. The family will greet friends from 3 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, May 17, 2009 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 18, 2009 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Woodlawn Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers to make donations to North Care Hospice 2900 Clay Edwards Dr., NKC, MO 64116. Thomas was born April 22, 1926 in Richland Center, WI to W. E. and Marjorie (Poorman) Rundell. He worked as a loan office for Blue Valley Bank for a number of years until he retired in 1988. He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII. Thomas is survived by: his wife Mimi of the home; a sister, Mary Hooper of Indianapolis, IN; daughters, Sandy Bates of Largo, FL, Susie Dillon (Dave) of Terre Haut, IN, Sharon Rosenbohm (Bill) of Rockport, MO, Sheila Wheeler (Stewart) of Lenexa, KS and Linda Mikulich of Sugar Creek, MO; sons, Scott Rundell of Kansas City, KS and Chuck Mikulich (Sandy) of Sugar Creek, MO; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Also surviving is his loving “Little Girl”, B.B., his canine companion. He was preceded in death by a son, Steve Rundell. A very special thank you to Lucy Stasi, Tom’s personal hospice nurse, and the staff of North Care Hospice.
