Adalyne R. Runion, 90, of Independence, MO passed away June 17, 2009 at the Villages at Jackson Creek. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. A graveside service will directly follow and be held at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Adalyne was born June 28, 1918, in Mindenmines, MO to Claude L. and Georgia M. (Kerns) Hughes. She was married to Gerald Robert Runion on November 14, 1936. Adylne spent 25 years as an Avon Distributor. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. Adalyne was preceded in death by her daughter, Norma Joann Partch. She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Gerald R. Runion; daughter, Margaret Nelson (Terry) of Independence, MO; son-in-law, Carlyle Partch of Independence, MO; grandchildren, Richard Partch (Margaret) of Trimble, MO, Laura Ward (David) of Adrian, MO, Kathryn Nichol (David) of Independence, MO, Karin Schafer (Ron) of Blue Springs, MO, Andrea Mynatt (Sam) of Blue Springs, MO; and sixteen great grandchildren.
