Devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Sheila Rush, 55, of Independence, MO passed away September 29, 2015 with her loving family by her side. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 2, 2015, from 6-8pm, at Speaks Suburban Chapel A Celebration of Life will be 10am Sat., Oct. 3, 2015 at the chapel. Burial will take place in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Sheila was born on January 1, 1960 in Falls City, NE to Atlas and Alice (Mullins) Pickett. She was a graduate of Blue Springs High School and attended Penn Valley Community College. In addition to spending time with her family and friends, Sheila enjoyed attending Church and singing in the choir at Eastside Baptist Church in Independence, MO. She enjoyed making crafts including teddy bears and quilts. For the last several years, Sheila loved going on medical mission trips overseas and helping the less fortunate. Sheila is survived by; husband of 19 years, Terry Rush; daughter Paige Urbaniak (Brent); son Robert Rush; step-daughter Mercedes Rush; grandchildren Gauge, Remmington, and Colt Urbaniak; parents Atlas and Alice Pickett; sisters Sandy Bowen and Paula Pickett; several nieces and nephews, and extended family members.
