Warren Edwin Sattler, 80, of Gladstone, Mo, passed away, Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at the North Kansas City Hospital. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. Burial with full military honors will be in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Monday at the chapel. Warren was born June 17, 1927 in Raymore, MO to John F and Elsie (Smith) Sattler and has been a lifelong area resident. He had worked as a truck driver for BASF for a number of years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing boating and reading. He was a very active member of the St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Kansas City for a number of years. He proudly served in the U.S. Army in Japan during WWII until he was discharged, as a sergeant in 1947. He was also a member of the American Legion and the V.F.W. in Independence. He was married to Lois Crow on February 14, 1948, she survives of the home. Other survivors include; 2 sons, Richard Sattler and his wife Ronda of Kansas City, MO and Ronald Sattler and his wife Mary of Pleasant Valley, Mo; a sister, Wilda Adams of Ocala, FL; 3 grandchildren, Damon Sattler, Gregory Sattler and Matthew Sattler. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Paul, Martin, Homer, Bob and Johnny
