Anthony Scardacci, 63, of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, November 3, 2013. A visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 10th at Speaks Suburban Chapel. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 11th at the chapel. Cremation will follow.
Tony was born June 2, 1950 in Lexington, MO to Alice (Pridemore) and Palmaris Tony Scardacci as one of two children. His family moved to California where he attended school and enlisted in the Navy. Tony married Carol (Seutter) and together raised three children. After moving back from San Francisco to Independence, he worked for the Roofers Local 20 Union, 21 years Invested and 28 years Good Standing. Tony especially enjoyed cooking, fishing, and Martial Arts. German shepherds were his favorite dog, his last one was named Star. He loved his grandkids, especially his best bud, Mikey. Tony will be remembered by family and friends as young at heart and a jokester who loved, and was loved, by everyone.
He is survived by wife, Carol Scardacci, of the home; daughter, Trina Bankston (Curtis) of Raytown, MO; daughter, Renae Bankston- Wanyonyi (Robert); son, Shane Bankston (Ellie) all of Independence, MO; grandchildren, Stephanee, Xavier, , Ashley, Lezlee, JazLinn, Michael Anthony, A’Rayah, Annabella, Curtis, Tiffany, and Aaron; and brother, Frank Scardacci of Santa Rosa, CA.
