Elizabeth Anne Schaefer

Elizabeth Anne "Sis� Schaefer, of Independence, MO passed away on Monday, April 12, 2004 at her home. Any contributions may be sent to the Humane Society. Elizabeth was born in Independence, MO to Thomas and Louise Rees. She was a long-time member of the Junior Service League of Independence, as well as active in many bridge clubs throughout her life. Elizabeth was an avid golfer who participated in several tournaments in the area. What can be remembered most about Elizabeth was her passion for animals, and her support for animal rights. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Evelyn Marty Anderson; and her husband of 55 years, Dr. John C. Schaefer. She is survived by one son, Drew with wife Janet Schaefer, Independence, MO; one daughter, Laurie with husband Lee Williams, Shawnee, KS; and three grandchildren, Robbie, Timmy and Katie Schaefer.
