Doreen Leola (Lindenman) Schamberger, 58, of Blue Springs, MO died May 5, 2007 at her home. Visitation will be held at Speaks Suburban Chapel on Thursday, May 10th from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 11th at 2:00 p.m. at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Interment will be in WaKeeney, KS.
Doreen was born in Norton, KS on January 9, 1949 the daughter of Elmer E. and Elva L. (Brown) Lindenman. She was a 1966 graduate of Morland High School and attended Fort Hays State University before graduating from UMKC with a B.A. and an M.S. in Education. She taught first and second grades in the Fort Osage School District from 1972 until her retirement in 2001. Her hobbies included quilting, crafts, reading, gardening, decorating and especially spending time with her family. She held memberships in the Missouri State Teacher’s Association, the Quilting Club and St. Mark’s Catholic Church.
Doreen married Kenneth J. Schamberger on January 25, 1969 in St. Peter, KS. Survivors include husband Kenneth; her mother, Elva (Brown) Lindenman of Norton, KS; two sons, Lance A. and his wife Michelle of Leadville, CO, Blake A. and his wife Heidi, of Kansas City, MO; granddaughter Nina L. Schamberger of Leadville, CO; two brothers, John L. Lindenman and wife Debbie, of Morland, KS, and Wade E. Lindenman and wife Chris of Edmond, OK, five sisters, Lois E. and husband Wayne Richmeier of Morland, KS, Rita J. and husband Duane Feely of Independence, MO, Caroline K. and husband Ron Bartlett of Goddard, KS, Thea L. and husband Lance Pfeifer of Concord, NC, and Julia Z. and husband Roger Rabuck of Manhattan, KS. Her father, Elmer E. Lindenman, preceded her in death.
