Louis Schowengerdt

Louis Albert Schowengerdt, 79, Kansas City, MO passed away Aug. 9, 2008. Memorial services will be at 3 pm, Thursday, Aug. 14, 2008 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; cremation. Visitation will begin at 1:30 pm before the service on Thursday. Private burial at Higginsville City Cemetery will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the American Diabetes Assoc. In accordance with Louis’ wishes, the family asks that everyone attending the service dress casual.
Louis was born June 12, 1929 in Higginsville, MO. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Eagles Lodge, and U.A.W. Local #93. He worked at the General Motors Leeds plant for thirty years, retiring in 1983. Following retirement, he owned Aero Heating and Cooling, Co.
Louis was preceded in death by his wife Patricia in 1991. He is survived by daughter Roberta Durand and husband Anthony; son Louis A. Schowengerdt III, all of Kansas City, MO; brother Ralph Schowengerdt, Concordia, MO; sister Joann Mahan, Lee’s Summit, MO; and two grandchildren. e
