Carol Schutz

Carol Schutz, 75, of Independence, MO passed away Friday, November 26, 2010 at Research Medical Center. Services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, December 2 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence. Burial to follow at Oakland Cemetery. Carol was born on Feb. 13, 1935 to Virgil and Clara (Smith) Duly in Jameson, MO and had lived in Independence most of her life. She enjoyed cooking, reading, latch hook rugs, and walking, was an avid Royals and Chiefs fan, but more than anything, she loved to help and give to others. Carol had been employed with Gemaco Playing Card Co. in Blue Springs for many years before her retirement. Carol was preceded in death by her husband Bill Schutz; son Billy Schutz; brother Leo Duly; and both parents. She is survived by three children: Debbie Schutz, John Schutz, and Steven Schutz; sister Linda Eagleson and husband Mike; brother Daniel Duly and wife Joan; two grandchildren: Paul and Michael; and some great-grandchildren.
