Harriett Schweig

Harriett Augusta (nee Leusch) Schweig of Independence, MO passed away at her residence Wednesday, April 9, 2008. The former Kansas City native was a longtime resident of Glen Rock, NJ.
Mrs. Schweig attended the University of Missouri where she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. She is a graduate of the William Patterson College (University) in Wayne, NJ. She was an employee of the Midland Park Public School Systems and then worked for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Newark, NJ before retirement.
Surviving Mrs. Schweig are a daughter, Liz Mahoney of Augusta, GA, and four grandsons: Kevin, Terence, Christopher and Vincent Mahoney, also of Augusta, GA.
Following a private family service, Mrs. Schweig will be interred next to her husband, the late George M. Schweig, at the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ. She was 96.
