Brenda F. Scott, 49 Independence, MO passed away Jan. 18, 2009. Services will be will be 10 am, Wed., Jan. 21, at Speaks Suburban Chapel; graveside service will follow at 2:30 pm, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in St. Joseph. Visitation will be 6- 8 pm, Tues. at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to Cancer Action.
Brenda was born August 13, 1959 in Kansas City, MO and spent most of her life in the Independence area. She was a tax examiner for the I.R.S. for thirty years. She enjoyed dancing, fishing and was a Chiefs fan.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father Paul Lewis Payne. She is survived by her husband Bill Scott, of the home; daughter Mindy Alayna Brown and husband Joe; sons Brian Paul Scott and Michael Robert Scott; her mother Aileen Payne; sisters Janice Savage; Karen McWilliams; Linda Payne; Betty Bellomy; brother Charles Payne and grandchildren Tyler, Nathan and Kaitlynn.
