Michael E. Scott, 58, Blue Springs, MO passed away Monday, August 9, 2010. A Celebration of Mike’s Life will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th. Independence, MO. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Life Connection Missions.
Mike was born January 7, 1952 in Kansas City, MO the son of Eugene E. and Virginia (Booy) Scott. He was employed with Pepsi Company for seven years and was employed for 31 years with Associated Wholesale Grocers. Mike was a member of the Teamsters Union # 955. He was an outgoing person who enjoyed a life of adventure, which included hunting, fishing and storytelling.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Scott and mother-in-law, Barbara Howe.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Scott; daughters, Heather Kays and her husband Eric of Overland Park, KS; Shannon Scott of Blue Springs; son, Joshua Scott and his wife Leanna of Lee’s Summit and Mandy Smith and her husband Rick of Chillicothe. Nine grandchildren, Ryan, Ian, Colten, Trey, Gracie, Lisa, Nate, Macy, and Titus; his mother, Virginia Scott and sisters Cathy Miller and Caryn Hall; and father and mother-in-law, Bob and Charlotte Howe of Chillicothe.
