Sadako Seaman

January 15, 1926 — December 17, 2010

Sadako Itabashi Seaman, 84, devoted wife, mother and grandmother, of Independence, MO passed away Friday, December 17, 2010 at Maywood Terrace Living Center. Sadako was born January 15, 1926 in Tokyo, Japan. She met Roual Duane Seaman and they were married in 1957 at the U.S. Embassy by the Vice-Consul. Sadako was very artistic, excelling at crocheting and origami. She will be missed for her caring and loving nature by all who knew and loved her. Sadako is survived by her husband, R.D. “Duane” Seaman of the home; son Victor Shayne Seaman and wife Milly based in Equatorial Guinea, Africa; granddaughter Victoria Olivia Seaman of Houston, TX; and brother Mitsuo Itabashi of Japan. A visitation will be from 1-2:00 PM Monday, December 20 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Avenue, Independence. Services will begin at 2:00 PM Monday at the Chapel with burial to follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Humane Society of the United States, 2100 L St, Washington D.C. 20037.
