Roy H. Sears, 76 of Independence, MO passed away Fri. Nov. 18, 2005 at
the Medical Center of Independence. Services will be 1:30 pm, Tue. Nov
22, 2005 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Indep. MO.
Burial in Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 -1:30 pm Tuesday at the chapel. Mr. Sears was born on Oct. 25, 1929 to Roy "Hack" and Bonnie Sears in Ft. Cobb, OK and had lived in the Independence area since 1955. He had been a welder for Allis-Chalmers for over 30 years, retiring in 1985. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and was a member of United Steelworkers of America Union #1958. Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Mary in 1998. He is survived by two stepchildren, Dianna Azbill of Kansas City, MO and David Echols of Lake Lotawana, MO. Four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
