Werner Peter Seeh, 87, of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014. A visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 16th at Carson Speaks Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel. Burial will be at Mound Grove Cemetery.
Werner was born March 18, 1927 in Stuttgart, Germany to Jakob and Emilie (Hoffman) Seeh as one of two children. He attended secondary school and a trade school for tool and dye manufacturing before immigrating to the United States in 1946. He was drafted into the Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He was stationed back in Germany during his service where he met his beloved Annamarie (Brauninger). They married back in Maryland on November 13, 1953. Together they raised two children. He worked as a mechanic and tool and dye maker until his retirement in 1993. Werner was a long time member of the Community of Christ Church where he was a devoted Deacon, humbly serving his congregation. He enjoyed traveling with his family, and remodeling his home. His family remembers him as loving and supportive. Werner is loved and will be missed.
He is survived by wife of sixty years, Annamarie, of the home; daughter, Charlotte Warren and husband Mark of Kansas City, MO; daughter, Rebecca Price of Wichita, KS; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; and six nieces and nephews.
