Beryl M. Sellers, 102, passed away December 1, 2015. A visitation will be held from 9-11am, with a funeral service at 11:00am Saturday, December 5, 2015, at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. in Independence, Missouri. She will be laid to rest in Mount Washington Cemetery.
Beryl was born on November 16, 1913, to Merle and Emma (Spellman) Milleson in Gypsum, Kansas. She met and married Floyd N. Sellers and to this union were born three sons. She worked as a nurse for Dr. Hink’s office in Independence for many years. She was a longtime member of First Christian Church of Independence, and sang in the church choir and was active in the Christian Women’s Fellowship group. She was very independent, and until her late 90’s, lived and drove on her own. She loved her family and friends dearly.
Among her survivors are her three sons, Craig, Greg, and Terry, as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.
