Virginia Hutchison Semple, 84, Independence, MO passed away Monday, March 29, 2010 at Rosewood Healthcare Center. A Memorial Celebration on Virginia’s life will be 2:30 PM Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church, 100 N. Pleasant St. Independence, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church or the Mayo Clinic Foundation; 200 1st Street SW, Rochester, MN 55902.
Virginia was born May 22, 1925 in Slater, MO the daughter of D.L. and Emma (Durrett) Hutchison. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, P.E.O. Chapter IQ and the Slater Lunch Bunch. Virginia enjoyed cooking, decorating, sewing and playing bridge with The Fountains and the Presbyterian Church groups.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob in 2008; two half brothers, Charlie and Tom Hutchison and her parents.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Chere L. Semple of Blue Springs.
