John Serum

John C. “Jack” Serum, 75 of Independence, MO passed away, Tuesday, March 9, 2010. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 15, 2010 at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Independence, MO. Burial in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Corder, MO. Visitation will be 5 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday evening at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kansas City Hospice. Jack was born October 7, 1934 in Mondovi, WI to Carl and Evelyn (Johnston) Serum and grew up there graduating from public schools. He was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Independence since 1957. He had worked as a construction manager for a number of years before he retired. He was married to Jane (Pregge) who preceded him in death. Survivors include; a son, Jordan Serum and his wife Paula and their son Alex all of Kansas City, MO. He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Jeff in 1976 and Jon in 1989.
