Sharon's journey through life was marked by her dedication and hard work. A proud graduate of William Crisman High School, she forged a successful career that culminated in her role as office manager at Major Cadillac and Tumminia Mazda. Her unwavering commitment to excellence in her work remained evident until her retirement in 2002, when she left behind not just a position but also a community of colleagues who admired her professionalism and kindness.
Beyond the confines of her career, Sharon was vibrant in her personal pursuits. She found joy in the simplest pleasures, spending her leisure time with paint-by-numbers, relishing the satisfaction of creating beauty in her quiet moments. An avid movie and television enthusiast, she transported herself into different worlds, finding both entertainment and comfort within the stories shared on screen. Sharon was also a spirited shopper, always eager to explore new trends in fashion and interior design, embodying a creative flair that brought color to her life and those around her. An exceptional cook, Sharon was particularly renowned for her delightful potato salad, a staple at barbecues, summer holidays, and birthdays. Her culinary creations were more than just dishes; they were heartfelt contributions to gatherings that brought loved ones together in celebration.
Sharon leaves behind a living tapestry of family, including her son, Phillip Bellis, and her stepchildren: Marjorie Fears, Linda Rubicam, Sandra Worden, and Randall Addison. Each of them carries forward the essence of Sharon’s spirit in their daily lives.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Francis Phillip "Phil" Addison, Jr., along with her father, Thomas Eugene Burton, her mother, Winnie Ruth Burton, and her brother, Thomas Eugene Burton, Jr. Their memories live on in the stories shared and the lessons imparted, intertwined with Sharon's own narrative of love and perseverance.
A visitation to honor Sharon’s memory will take place on October 16, 2024, at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, Missouri from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, where friends and family can come together to celebrate her life. The funeral service will follow on the next day, October 17, 2024, at the same location starting at 2:00 PM, culminating in her interment at Oakland Cemetery in Buckner, Missouri.
