Janelle Sheley

Janelle Sheley, 68, of Independence, MO passed away unexpectedly Thursday, January 8, 2009 at St. Luke’s Northland Hospital. A visitation will be from 10:30-Noon Saturday, January 10 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave with services to begin at Noon; burial at Mt. Washington Cemetery.
Janelle was born June 26, 1940 in Desloge, MO to Floyd and Bessie (Pope) Johnson. She married Oliver Sheley on March 7, 1959 and together raised two children. Throughout her life Janelle enjoyed baking, cooking, and animals, but more than anything she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Janelle is survived by her husband of 49 years, Oliver “O.C.” Sheley; children: Ollie Sheley and Sherri Nolan; six grandchildren: Lyndsey Parker, Oliver Sheley VI, Ian Sheley, Sydney Dyer, and Jamie and John Schneidervin; five great-grandchildren: Tyler and Sarah Parker, Aroara and Augustis Sheley, and Dakota Dyer; sister, Rochelle Luce; and three nephews.
