Oliver Sheley Iv

Oliver “O.C.” Sheley IV, 76, of Independence, MO passed away July 25, 2015. Visitation will be from 9-11am, Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11am at the chapel. Burial will take place in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Oliver was born on February 20, 1939 in Kansas City, MO to Oliver and Ruby (Clayton) Sheley III. Ollie along with his wife and family was the owner of “Ollie’s Amusements”. For many years they partnered with Midland Empire Shows. He was a member of the Heart of America Showman’s Club and the South Independence Evening Optimist Club. Survivors include; son Ollie Sheley V (Lisa); daughter Sherri Nolan (Tuffy); his four legged child Jenny; grandchildren Lyndsey
Sheley, Oliver Sheley VI, Ian Sheley, Syndney Sheley, Jamie Presler, John Schneidervin, and Justin Nolan; great grandchildren Tyler Parker, Sarah Parker, Aroara Sheley, Augustis Sheley, Dakota Dyer, and Isabella Nolan; sister Sharon Gillpatrick, and a large extended family. Oliver is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Janelle Sheley, father Oliver Sheley III, and mother Ruby Wooster. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mayo Clinic in MN.
