Shirley Sue Warmington passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026. She was 85 years old. Shirley was born to Robert and Avanelle (Moore) Lee on April 10, 1941, in Moberly, Mo.
Shirley loved to be around people and worked in the restaurant industry as a server and bartender most of her adult life. She was a proud member of the Moose Lodge in Sugar Creek and enjoyed the friendships and laughter it brought to her life. During her down time, Shirley spent time crocheting, dancing and traveling with her late husband, Ed, visiting their favorite destination in Colorado often.
Shirleys onery, loud, fun spirit will be missed dearly by all that knew her and her memory will be cherished by many family members and friends.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Tamara Warring (David); son, Michael Chapman; sister, Sherry Vermillion; grandchildren, Aaron Yoakum, Andy Yoakum, Lori Long, Jennifer Warring, Taler Williams, Jade Robinett, Levy Chapman, Trinity Chapman, Lena Paige, Tom Higgins and Nick Higgins; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Avanelle Lee; beloved husband, Ed; daughter, Terrie Higgins and grandson, Thomas “TJ” Fry.
