Charlene May Silkwood, 43 of Independence, MO passed away Monday, March 9, 2015 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 13, 2015 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Entombment will follow in Mt. Washington Mausoleum. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the chapel. Charlene was born August 3, 1971 in Kansas City, MO to Lavell and Bettie Lou (Johnson) Silkwood. She enjoyed reading writing and coloring. She was Baptist by faith and attended church regularly. She is survived by: 4 siblings, Laurinda Larkin and husband Tom, LeRoy Silkwood and wife Joey, Bobby Silkwood and wife Victoria, Dottie Silkwood and husband Peter and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts an uncle, cousins and friends.
