Shirley Onalee Simmons

Shirley (Lee) Simmons passed away on July 17th one day before her 96th birthday. Lee is proceeded in death by her husband Eldon J Simmons. Lee grew up in Detroit, MI. But lived in Independence, MO for over 60 years. Married to Eldon J Simmons for 74 years.
Lee had 5 children, 11 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Lee retired as a 4th grade teacher with the Kansas City Public School District in 1975, and enjoyed a long and happy retirement with her husband and family. Lee was a member of the Community of Christ church and was active in the church until her death.
Lee was much loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
