Mary F. Simms, 64 of Independence passed away Mon., Mar. 24, 2008 at Centerpoint Medical Center. A Memorial Visitation will be 7 �" 8:30 pm, Thu. Mar. 27, 2008 at the Carson- Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Independence, MO. Mrs. Simms was born on Aug. 12, 1943 to Frank and Laura (Bruns) Hall in Desoto, MO. She had been an inspector with Western Electric for many years, retiring in 1982. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who enjoyed cooking, gardening and all kinds of crafts, including Quilting, knitting and cross-stitch. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Laura Hall, a brother, John Wesley Hall and a sister Viola L. Zucca. Mary is survived by her husband, Tom Simms of Independence; daughter, Kimberly Cassidy and husband Scott of Independence; two grandchildren, Kaylee and Airika Cassidy. Two brothers, Fred Hall of Oxford, IA and Barney Hall of Camdenton, MO. Two sisters, Zana Bellinger of Sun City, AZ and Margaret Magruder of Independence and by several nieces and nephews.
