Frank D. Simpson, 72, Independence, MO, passed away Sept. 29, 2008. Graveside services will be at 11 am, Friday, Oct. 3, 2008 at Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 �" 8 pm, Thursday at Speaks Suburban Chapel.
Frank was born June 28, 1936 in Green Forest, AR. He owned his own auto repair shop in Independence from 1975 until he retired in 2006. He was a member of the Independence Optimist Club and the U.A.W. Frank enjoyed fishing for catfish, growing tomatoes and was a big sports fan.
Frank was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy L. Simpson in 1979 and by his parents Jerry and Sadie Simpson. Frank is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Betty Simpson, of the home; sons Jerry M. Simpson, Basehor, KS; Terry D. Simpson, Tucker, AR; daughter Kim A. Griffin and husband Larry, Liberty, MO; brother Dean Simpson and wife Johnny Bell, Green Forest, AR; sister Christine Marshall and husband James, Berryville, AR; and eight grandchildren.
The Simpson family wishes to express our deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at both Centerpoint Medical Center and Carmel Hills Living Center. Their caring and loving devotion for Frank touched our hearts deeply and their courteous and heart-felt caring for our family went beyond the call of duty. We hold all of you in the highest regard.
