Clay Leslie Sincox, 79, of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, September 19, 2009 at his daughter’s home. Clay was born May 7, 1930 in Independence, MO. Clay married Billie Jean Kemp on June 24, 1951. He was a life-long member of the Wedding Ring Class at Fairmount Christian Church.
Clay was preceded in death by his parents Fielding Leslie and Sarah Jane (Cushwa) Sincox, his wife Billie Jean (Kemp), and his sister Jane Fielding Nelson. He is survived by his brother, John W. Sincox, his son Kent L. Sincox (Kay) of Wildwood, MO; two daughters Christie J. Sincox and Holly A. Barnes (Rob) of Independence, five grandchildren; Kellie A. Hatch (Guy), Kimberlie R. Bost (John), Konnor W. Sincox, Cassie L. Barnes, Megan N. Barnes, and two great-grandchildren Reese T. Hatch and Kaiden D. Bost.
Visitation will be Friday, September 25 from 6:00-7:00 PM at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM. A private family graveside service will be held at Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Food Pantry, 641 S. Ash Ave., Independence, MO 64053.
