Alice Smith

Alice V. Smith, 86, of Independence, MO passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service starting at 9:00. Entombment in Mound Grove Mausoleum. Alice was born March 26, 1925 in Independence, MO to George F. and Nellie M. (Kight) Brady. She was blessed with the talent of decorative painting and was a member of multiple art associations including Independence and Raytown Art Associations. Mrs. Smith loved her family dearly! She also enjoyed flower gardening in her spare time. Alice is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Clark Smith; daughter Diana Marr and husband David; son Clark Smith II and wife Suzanne; grandchildren Alice Michele Spillman, Christopher and Kimberli Hoover, Jason Hoover; great-grandchildren Warren Spillman, Noelle Hoover, Christian and Trinity Hoover. She was preceded in death by her brother and sister.
