Hargis Smith, Jr.

Hargis H. Smith, Jr., 85, formerly of Buckner, MO passed away Nov. 4, 2008. Services will be at 2:30 pm, Sat., Nov. 8, 2008 at Speaks Bucker Chapel; interment at Buckner Hill Cemetery. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 1 pm at the funeral home.
Hargis was born Sept. 25, 1923 in Kansas City, MO. He worked for twenty-seven years at the Unitog manufacturing plant in Holden, MO. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Buckner.
Hargis was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Lou Smith in 1999. He is survived by sons Guy Smith and wife Ann; Mike Smith, all of Buckner, MO; daughter Connie Sue Moody and husband Darrel, Gower, MO; son Mark Smith, Bucker, MO; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
