Leroy Zeddie Smith Jr.

Mr. Leroy Z. Smith, 81, of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015 at his home. Visitation will be from 9-10 am,
Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Funeral services will follow beginning at 10 am at the Chapel. Entombment will be in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Leroy was born on September 23, 1933 in Kansas City, MO to Leroy Sr. and Frances (Waldron) Smith. Leroy proudly served our country in the Air Force. He along with his wife Dolores was members of Summit Grove church for over 40 years. Leroy retired from Stuart Hall after 42 years of service as a machine cutter. In his younger years he enjoyed body building. In later life he enjoyed art and sketching, something that he passed on to his children. Leroy enjoyed working on cars, and fishing with his favorite partner, Dolores even they didn’t catch anything, just being outdoors made him happy. Survivors include; wife of 52 years, Dolores; sons Andrew Smith, Ronald Smith, Adam Smith; brother, Tom Smith; sister, Carol Smith, and extended family members.
