Vernamae Smith, 77, Independence, MO passed away March 6, 2009. Services will be 10 am, Friday, March 13 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; interment at Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Thursday at the funeral home.
Vername was born Jan. 3, 1932 in Independence, MO. Vernamae was preceded in death by her husband George Smith in 1976. She is survived by son Paul Smith; daughter Sarah Smith; son David Smith; daughter Mary Pence; son Samuel Smith; daughter Rachel Beil; thirteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
