Norma Sue Sokup (Jones)

Norma Sue Sokup, 82, of Independence, MO passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 5, 2022, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052 with cremation to follow. Sue was born on November 2, 1940, in Magnolia, Arkansas to Leo Jones and Dorothy Marie Miller. She was blessed with a giving spirit that compelled her to care for those who were on home healthcare. Sue leaves behind husband, Burch Sokup; three sons, Kenny Eugene Watkins, Danny Lee Watkins, and Gregory O’Neil Watkins; 14 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
