John A. Sparks, 85, passed away at his home in Independence, MO April 25, 2007. Services will be 10:30 am Saturday, April 28, 2007 at the Open Arms Community of Christ Church, 1101 West Walnut, Indep, MO. Burial in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends 1 hour prior to service time at the Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to KC Hospice in John?s memory. John was born July 10, 1921 in Kennett, MO. He retired after 35 years from the Frisco Railroad. John is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bonnie Sparks of the home; daughters, Karen Latham and Twyla Wasson of Independence, MO, daughter Marsha Stowell of Centerview, MO, and son Roger Sparks of Lee?s Summit, MO.
